Description
The rear wheel assembly with 36 volt hub motor for the Swagtron EB5 Pro electric bike comes complete with the hub motor, rim, inner tube, and a 14×2.125 pneumatic tire from CST.
Note: Instead of the old-style harness with nine prongs on a single round connector, this rear wheel assembly uses the new style wire connector with six pins and three metal prongs. If you have an older EB5 Pro, you may need to cut & splice the wiring onto your old connector. Please refer to the photos to get a better view.
Using an electric hub motor as part of an electric bike’s wheel assembly is an old idea that is enjoying a new renaissance of popularity. Without a separate rim or other superfluous parts, these hub motor/drive wheel units allow lightweight power in a small package.
