A Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) is a simple type of automatic transmission used primarily on many mini bikes and modern motor scooters. Instead of a series of gears, the CVT uses a set of pulleys (front & rear) in concert with a drive belt and clutch (not included). This results in a lightweight but very efficient system of transferring the engine’s power to the rear wheel assembly.
