Modern electric bikes were designed for the urban commuter and the 12-1/2″x2-1/4″ tire for electric bikes and scooters is optimized for use on the city street.
This tire is made by Wanda and it uses a pebble-grain shallow-siped street tread that looks more like it should be pushing a classic step-through motor scooter down a street in Paris or Milan instead of hanging on an ebike’s rim. This helps to provide the bike with a better top speed and more nimble maneuverability than that which a true knobby tread tire would offer.
